Red and near-infrared light are commonly used in wellness and recovery routines. Here is how the RESTORRE Recovery Wrap fits into one.
-
Light
The wrap's 102 LEDs give off red (660nm) and near-infrared (850nm) light. These are non-UV wavelengths commonly used in wellness and recovery routines.
-
Targeted area
You wear it against your lower back or waist, so the light panel rests where you want it. Adjustable warmth and gentle vibration are built in too.
-
Recovery routine
Fit it into moments you already have: after a workout, at your desk, or in the evening. It is one part of a routine, alongside rest, sleep, and good nutrition.

Questions, answered.
Straight answers about red light therapy and how RESTORRE fits into your routine.
Contact usWhat is red light therapy?
Red light therapy, also called photobiomodulation, uses low levels of red and near-infrared light. Red light (around 660nm) and near-infrared light (around 850nm) are commonly used in wellness and recovery routines.
These wavelengths sit outside the ultraviolet (UV) range, and the light comes from LEDs.
How does RESTORRE work?
The Recovery Wrap has 102 LEDs that give off 660nm red light and 850nm near-infrared light, plus a built-in heating pad and gentle vibration. You wrap it around your lower back or waist, choose your settings, and relax.
Light, warmth, and massage-style vibration are all common parts of recovery routines. The wrap puts them in one cordless device.
Can red light therapy help with sore muscles and recovery?
It is one of the most studied uses of red light. A 2025 review of studies on delayed onset muscle soreness found that people who received light therapy reported less soreness 72 and 96 hours after exercise than people who received a placebo. A separate review of 34 trials found that light applied before exercise was linked to better muscle endurance and strength recovery.
The research is not all one-way. The studies used different devices and settings, results varied, and one review of whole-body light therapy found no benefit for exercise recovery or performance. Those studies also do not tell us what any single product will do for you.
Think of light therapy as one part of a recovery routine, alongside sleep, good nutrition, and rest.
What about joints and injuries?
The research here is more mixed. Some reviews of studies on knee osteoarthritis found less pain with light therapy than with placebo, but one recent review rated the certainty of that evidence as very low. Most studies used clinical devices at specific doses.
RESTORRE is a wellness product. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, including joint conditions and injuries. If you have joint pain or an injury, talk with a healthcare professional before adding it to your routine.
How often should I use my RESTORRE device?
Follow the guidance in the user guide that comes with your Recovery Wrap. If you are new to it, start with lower brightness and heat settings and see how your body feels.
A routine is easier to keep when it is tied to something you already do, like after a workout or in the evening.
How long does a typical session take?
Your user guide lists the recommended session length for the Recovery Wrap. Choose the settings that feel comfortable, and stop if anything feels uncomfortable.
Can beginners use red light therapy?
Yes. The Recovery Wrap is built to be simple: wrap it on, choose your settings, and relax. Read the user guide before your first session and start with lower settings.
Can athletes use RESTORRE products?
Yes. RESTORRE is made for training days as well as quiet ones. It is meant to be one part of a recovery routine alongside sleep, nutrition, and rest, not a replacement for them.
Can older adults use RESTORRE products?
Yes. The wrap is designed for everyday routines and has simple controls. If you have a medical condition, take medication, use an implanted device such as a pacemaker, or have joint concerns, check with a healthcare professional before use.
Where can I use my RESTORRE device?
Almost anywhere that is comfortable: on the couch, at your desk, or after a workout. It is cordless and rechargeable, so you do not need to stay near an outlet.
Keep it dry, and do not fall asleep while wearing it.
How do I clean my device?
Turn the device off and wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not submerge it or use harsh chemicals. Check your user guide for full care instructions.
Is red light therapy safe? Do I need eye protection?
Red and near-infrared light is not UV, and most healthy adults tolerate it well when used as directed. The main caution is your eyes. Eye specialists advise caution about direct exposure, so do not look into the LEDs. The wrap is designed for your lower back and waist, away from your face.
Check with a healthcare professional first if you are pregnant, take medications that make you more sensitive to light, have an eye condition, have an implanted device, or have specific health concerns.
